This quick and flavorful honey garlic pork stir-fry is a perfect weeknight meal—juicy, tender pork coated in a sweet and savory garlic sauce, tossed with crisp-tender vegetables. Serve it over steamed rice for a complete meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pork:

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin (or boneless pork chops), thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (for that crispy sear)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tbsp oil (avocado or vegetable oil)

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ¼ cup honey (local, raw honey if possible)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (more if you love garlic)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional but adds a nice kick)
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or more if you like heat)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (for that deep, nutty flavor)

Veggies (Feel Free to Mix It Up!):

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • ½ small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas

For Serving:

  • Cooked jasmine rice or brown rice
  • Sesame seeds & sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep Your Ingredients

  • Slice the pork into thin strips (against the grain for tenderness).
  • Toss the pork with soy sauce and cornstarch—this helps give it that crispy, restaurant-style texture.
  • Mix all the honey garlic sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Set it aside.
  • Chop up your veggies so everything is ready to go. Stir-fries move fast!

2. Sear the Pork

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork in a single layer. Let it sear for 2 minutes before flipping—this locks in flavor.
  • Cook until golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Stir-Fry the Veggies

  • In the same pan, add another ½ tbsp oil if needed.
  • Toss in the veggies and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until they’re crisp-tender. You want them bright and slightly crunchy, not mushy!

4. Add the Sauce & Pork

  • Return the pork to the pan.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything. Stir well so it coats every bite.
  • Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and gets glossy.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Spoon over steamed rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • If you like extra heat, add a dash of sriracha or chili flakes.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork for 15–30 minutes in soy sauce before cooking.
  • To thicken the sauce, add ½ teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon of water.
  • For a low-carb option, serve with cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles.
  • Double the sauce if you like extra saucy stir-fry!
